Sorry to those of you that had a bad experience and/or "rude behavior." And as far as NOT getting back to someone, APortier, it is unexcuseable.I apologize the ball was dropped. We are very short staffed and was training new people at that time. We were also having a federal AND state review of our slaughterplant to be able to keep our doors open. If we offended anyone I am truly sorry. We work very hard, long hours to be able to serve our customers a good, clean product.
For those of you how have enjoyed our product and service, I thank you for your comments. It gets me up every morning when I am dead tired to open those doors and face a new day.
I really hope those of you who have had a bad experience reconsider your position and give us another chance. Unfortunately, we are all human and not perfect. All we can do is try.
Thanks again for taking the time to comment.
I used to go to all my aunts houses for every holiday, and I would ALLWAYS end up at my Aunt Pee Wee (Wilma Cressionie) house, because she ALLWAYS had your homeade sauage. She would call it "Boozie Sauage", I would eat it up. Then as my daughter got older she would eat it up. It got to be such a tradition she would save me some just for me. Made me feel really speacial. Now since she has gone to be with our Heavenly Father, I have made it a tradition at my house with my family. Thanks for such a great homeade product and being such down home people to my Aunt and Uncle and to me and my family.
I have called 4 times to get a price on half a calf. I left three messages and the one time someone answered the phone they said they were too busy and would call me back. I've never heard from them. I guess they don't want the business that bad.
re: SHERRY SIMP COMMENT....Sorry that you had such unsatisfactory behavior from either my staff and/or me. Unfortunately, my 12 to 18 hour days (6 to 7 days /week) tend to be filled w/ hard labor, 10 or more problems and/or tasks that hit me all at one time, and a lack of skilled labor that has made myself and my one other skilled full time employee, over worked and stressed out to the max. If you came at a time when we were having a melt down, I am truely sorry. BUT.... I am glad you at least enjoyed our product. I am also sorry that whatever happened to you while you visited our store will prevent you from enjoying our meat again. Everyone has a bad or off day. I would hope that you would call me to further dicuss what happened. Thanks again for your time, Anita
There's just not many old fashion meat markets around any more. Anita Verdin the daughter of the infamous Boozie Verdin runs this meat market like the pro she is! Great fresh meat cut just he way you like it. The freshness and flavor would come through for even the worst cooks. I would recommend that you give them a try when you are in town. The locals already know what a great reputation Verdin's Meat Market has and now im recommending them to you. Susan Sarre Wolverton
Very good meat but very rude service. I will not come back thanks Anita FOR NOTHING
I agree with you this is what i looking for. I want you to know, i search about this every where and just found it here,,,Nice, i hope you always success...
Always the best meats from Verdun's. Appreciate local grassfed available; even grain-finished would be done with more care for the cow than bigger/other feedlots etc. Yay, Verdun!
taste of fresh meat is unbeatable. we alway get our whole pig for roasting from Anita.
